WILDERNESS FISHINGDear Fly Fishers:
Thanks for considering Canadian Mountain Outfitters Ltd. for your next Fly Fishing Adventure. Bryan Martin, owner and Lindsey Channel, fishing consultant and experienced Alaska and Montana fly fishing guide, have combined their vast wilderness knowledge to bring you one of the most unique fly fishing expeditions available today. We have worked out all the details to bring you comfort, success and adventure in one of the most remote and roadless settings in North America, Northern British Columbia, Canada.
We offer trips for small groups (limited to two or four persons/trip). Our operation consists of a lodge or a deluxe tent camp (depending on the time and location of your trip). Our tent camps have all the comforts of a lodge, including hot showers, heated tents, cots and excellent meals. We use new and high quality equipment to ensure you a safe and comfortable trip. Our excellent guides will provide you with the professional knowledge you will need to make this a successful trip, and they will teach you about this vast and unspoiled area. We offer different trips including jet boats, rafting and backpacking. We can customize a trip to accommodate your group's needs.
The fishing and mountain scenery in our area are second to none. The rivers and lakes are full of wild fish that have never seen a fly. Our hard fighting Rainbows will take dry flies as well as nymphs and streamers. We have good populations of Bull Trout (Dolly Varden), Lake Trout and Arctic Grayling. You will have the chance to battle some Bull Trout in the 10 pound plus range. These brutes will put a big bend in your rod! Lake Trout over 20 pounds have been caught.
For the 2002 season we will offer 4 and 6 day river or lake and 6 day combination trips, with deluxe tent camp or lodge accommodations. Our river camps offer a unique adventure, because of the numerous smaller rivers, which we can access with our jet boats. You can fish small water or big water, whatever your group desires to do. If you get tired of landing our wild fish you might take a day to backpack or take some photos of the abundant wildlife in the area. The lakes offer some awesome scenery and hold some of our largest fish. These highly recommended combination trips include fishing on both rivers and lakes and provide a lot of excitement and diversity.
Bryan and Lindsey have 20 years of combined wilderness experience. Their knowledge and expertise will show through on your remote fly-fishing adventure. In addition to our fishing services, we offer a hunting guide service for Stone Sheep, Grizzly, Moose, Goat and Caribou; if this service interests you, we'll provide you with a brochure. No one will work harder to provide you with a trip of a lifetime. Forget the crowds in Alaska and come fish this untouched area.
See you soon!
Lindsey and Bryan
