Example Hunt schedule and pricing: A 10 day hunt includes 10 hunting days plus the 2 flying/moving days to and from our camps and 2 days of commercial flying to/from the US & Canada. For a 10 day hunt, you’ll be away from home 15 total days. We are not responsible for lost hunting days due to weather and airplane delays. Total price for a 10 day, 2 species (moose & goat) hunt (both animals taken) would be: $12,500 (hunt) + $1,500 (Air charter) + $180 (hunting license) + $350 (goat tag) + $250 (moose tag) + $50 (wolf tag) + $125 (NRHPF) + $500 (additional moose harvest/flying fee) = 15,455 + Government Taxes (HST: the Canadian Government is going through a tax change in 2010 and taxes will be 6% (hunt) & 12% (lic/tags, air charter). The Govt. Royalty Fees would be: Goat - $150; Moose - $125. Royalties paid in cash.
Deposits
A 2010 hunt is booked with a 50% deposit, after Oct 1st, 2009. Hunts booked more than 1 year out only require a $1,000 deposit and more than 2 years out, a $500 deposit. We will set future hunt prices a year out from the hunt date and a contract will be completed at that time, unless a 50% deposit is made. Final payment is due approx. July 1st the year of your hunt. If a hunt is cancelled, and we have adequate time to resell the hunt, we will refund the deposit less our booking fees and incurred expenses. If hunt cannot be rebooked, deposit is non-refundable, but it can be transferred to another party for the same year and dates. Exceptions may be made and will be handled case by case, as determined by CMO.
Trophy Fees
Trophy and Royalty fees must be presented at beginning of hunt. No personal checks will be accepted: only traveler’s checks, money orders, bank checks, cashier’s checks or cash. On single species & mixed bag hunts, if an animal is not harvested, wounded or missed, the trophy fee monies, where applicable, will not be owed. But, on any rifle or archery Stone sheep or Grizzly hunt, the trophy fee will be due, if the hunter is presented/shown a legal ram (8 years old and/or full curl) or mature boar grizzly, even if no animal is taken or wounded. There is Govt. Tax on all trophy fees listed.

Arrival & Departure
All hunts start and end in Smithers, British Columbia. Smithers is accessible by daily airline service (Air Canada) through Vancouver, BC. You will arrive in Smithers the day before your chartered flight into our hunting area. Due do the fact that some of our hunters’ luggage has arrived late, into Smithers, I recommend that bowhunters (you can’t borrow a bow), arrive 1 ½ to 2 days early, as we can’t delay our chartered flights. On the first day of the trip, you will fly approx. 220 air miles to one our base camp. On the last day of the hunt, you will fly back to Smithers. Our expeditor and a local taxidermist will assist you with checking trophies (compulsory inspection) when you arrive back in Smithers. You should schedule your departing flight to leave the next day. There is always the chance of a weather delay, so make sure your return ticket is easy to change. If you need to arrive or depart on unscheduled flight days, there will be additional flight charges. More detailed flight and travel information can be found on our website.
Trophy Care
Trophy care on your hunt includes caping, fleshing and salting of all hides, horns and antlers in the field. You can generally take salted/dried sheep and goat trophies home as checked luggage. Grizzly and Wolf skulls/hides require a CITES permit, which will be obtained once your hunt is over, and must be shipped to your taxidermist. Moose, caribou and elk antlers should also be shipped. A local taxidermist can ship trophies for you or we have a US Taxidermist who will haul trophies to the US in late October. This taxidermist can ship your trophy(s) to you, if you have your own taxidermist or he can mount and deliver them to you. All shipping and crating is at the hunter’s expense.
Meat Handling
When leaving our camp, you’ll be limited to approx. 70 lbs. unless the floatplane has additional room. If you’d like to take all of your meat, we can arrange another plane flight, which will be an additional expense. The cost can be split evenly among the hunters needing this service. Meat not taken out by the hunter will be used in camp or will be donated to local Canadians. If you take meat to Smithers, you can get a cooler at the local hardware store and freeze at the hotel or drop off with the local butcher shop. Make sure to check with the airlines and Customs before taking meat and trophies home, as laws change.
